CLIENT
- Client B is Sales Executive with 18+ years of experience.
- Reputation Resolutions was engaged to help Client B move away from false allegations made about him, and take control of the narrative being told about him online.
PROBLEM
- Client B was being defined by a lawsuit that was ultimately dismissed. Websites such as Leagle.com, Justia.com, Docketbird.com, Courtlistener.com, and Law360.com were hosting the court records.
- Client B had no digital presence; therefore, the court records were ranking prominently on the first page of Google search results, which was affecting his ability to find a new position as a Sales Director.
- At the time of the initial engagement, Client B was not controlling any links on page one of search results. We established a strategy to utilize a multifaceted approach to suppress the negative links displayed in Google search results for our client’s name, while simultaneously working to remove/de-index the court records.
SOLUTION
- We crafted and sent petitions for removal to each site hosting the court records on our client’s behalf. This resulted in 4 target sites removing the negative links from search engines.
- Every site on the internet has a domain authority or level of “trust” with Google. The higher a site’s domain authority, the higher the links will rank in search results. Over six months, we published 38 unique articles on third-party websites with a high domain authority; therefore, the articles ranked highly in search results.
- We increased the visibility of the content we were actively writing/publishing for the suppression initiative by sharing it across Client B’s social profiles such as Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook. Consistent activity on the social profiles can help rank them higher in search results, and we utilized social media as a way to share industry information to his audience and position Client B as a thought-leader in his field.

RESULTS
Suppression Results
We successfully suppressed all negative articles from page one of search results for our target keyword. At the end of our six-month campaign, 10 positive links were ranking on page one of Google search results as a result of our efforts.
The negative leagle.com link was suppressed to position #13 (from position #2).
Removal Results
We were able to successfully petition Justia, Docketbird, Courtlistener, and Law360 to remove the negative links from search engines. The links were removed from search results.

Client B now has a great online presence that positions him as a leading authority in his field & safeguards his reputation from future damage.
